My daughter is in 2nd grade, and has mid/ mild autism. She does pretty good in school, has never had major problems with other students.Last week, i noticed what looked like a small section of hair was cut; an even "stroke" of hair was gone. I asked her and she hesitated before saying she didn't remember.Tonight after her shower, as i was brushing out her hair, it is super noticeable since it is wet. She has long, curly hair, so it wasn't noticeable dry. Her hair is down to her pant line, and the cut is up to her mid back. A good 4 inches, but only one curls worth.I asked again and she said yes, a certain boy cut it during class. She told the teacher, and the boy got yelled at. That's all she can remember (or is telling me).I feel like I'm trying to justify that it's not that bad. If she had done it to herself, i wouldn't be mad at the amount. But she didn't! I'm so heated, it's 430 am and i can't sleep! This same boy has always been on my watch list (small town, same basic group since head start). They also take CCD classes together and we see them in church. On Sunday, my daughter was looking at something and he came up behind her and told her not to be touching it in a very condescending tone. I pulled her aside and let her know what she was doing was okay. But now that i know that little fucker cut her hair, I'm mad as hell! And the worse part about it, no one notified me! And if i didn't get notified, I'm sure his guardians didn't either! I already sent a soft - pitch message to her teacher, but I'm going to the school tomorrow.Maybe i just needed to vent before i go in. I hope i don't start crying... I'm a cryer.
