Resources for kid who may be a perfectionist or just really hates rejection and "failing"?

My 5 year old daughter has been getting more emotional every year when it comes to "failing".She apparently attacked a kid on the playground today because she was upset that the other kid didn't want to play with her. (Attacking is actually really out of character for her, she usually just pouts or cries). Her bio dad and step mom once signed her up for a sports camp and she cried all the time and would freak out because she wasn't naturally good at sports, she wasn't the fastest, and she would "lose". My husband has stopped racing her to the door because the rare time he would actually try - she would completely shut down (and bawl). She would freak out and cry when she couldn't make random letters or numbers the exact way it looks on her worksheets.Does anyone have any good books or websites on how to handle this kind of behavior or personality? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2gqflbO
