We're weaning our 21 month old tornado from nursing to sleep, and admittedly it's just been a week. He will eventually go to sleep but it takes 1-2 hours, at least. We have a solid nighttime routine: PJ's, teeth brushing, reading books. But after that he just gets up and runs around the room until he just drops. Then he'll happily climb into bed, flop around a while, and go to sleep. The nighttime routine doesn't seem to relax him at all. The only time this kid is still, though, is when he's watching a (rare) video and obviously we don't want that to be a bedtime activity. We don't have the space at the moment to give him his own room. He's safe in our room but he will try to open closets, rattle drawers, turn the lights on and off, etc. Anything to be active. He sleeps about 10 hours at night and 2 during the day. He's definitely tired when we put him to bed, but as soon as the book reading stops (our last step) he runs off.Advice? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2leShlp
