These are mostly her words not mine.' I would like to say, as a teenager, its normal to have depression and be moody, but don't try to get involved in our lives or try to make it better, we need to learn to make it better for ourselves, let us deal with it, I know, it may be hard to see us suffer, but it's what must be done, although I'm not saying let us do horrible things, just offer help and offer advice.Although I'm not saying that you don't care about us, but let us be free, let us commit our own mistakes, let us learn in our own, don't put a bed time on us, like seriously.I'm sick of the parents who care more about their child's grades than their mental health, that's SICK. You're ruining so many skills that they need to have , e.g People skills, phsycial skills, and ruining their childhood. So, here's what I want to see as a teenager. To be free, have freedom. To be let loose at times, but to always be their with us, give us advice on what to do, but DO NOT take control over our lives.Let us commit mistakes, but don't let us commit life-changing mistakes. With grades, ask your child their passion, what they want to be, and offer rewards for when they do good. 'My personal view, I was a controlling parent, I thought by controlling her life it would affect her positively, but I realized it does not, it only puts strain on her life, makes her agressive, builds anger up inside of her.So whats your POV of this?( Sorry for some grammar mistakes, me and my daughters first language wasn't English, and we're still trying our best to grasp at it. ) via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2xiLmgP
