I’m not sure why I am writing this other than I am slightly giddy with emotions. My boy who is quite an introvert and up until more recent years was painfully shy, has a love interest. Last night I was going through his phone (a ritual he knows I do for safety checks) and I found his conversation with his best mate. He said he felt like an idiot because this girl asked him for a hug at school at the end of lunch and he said no. Then asked for help. What I love is his best mate says “form a strong bond in the next week and a half and then ask her out at the swimming carnival - if she says no, stay friends with her and still give hugs etc” then he adds “I won’t say anything to the squad (their group of friends).” I love his friend’s advice. I love that he sought advice from someone. And I so desperately want him to know all of this but I can’t tell him so I am telling you guys!!I do have a secret email account for each of my kids that they will get the password for when they’re 21 so I have emailed him there.I’ve also told his mates Mum (on the down-low) so she knows she’s on a parenting win! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2leyQcE
