My 5 year old son started kindergarten last week and every day since, he's been complaining that he's soooooo bored and kindergarten is sooo boring. He's not crying or demanding he stays home from school though; he happily gets on the bus each morning and happily walks off the bus with a smile to see us. But any mention of school triggers the IT'S SOOO BORING complaints.Generally, I'm OK with him being bored as long as he's not distracting anyone, causing problems, etc. I kind of see working through boredom as gaining maturity so I sort of welcome this new challenge of being "soooo bored."Anyways, on Tuesday he came home with some of his hair cut off. Probing him about it, he did it because kindergarten is so boring. He's so bored that he felt like cutting his hair was more rewarding then doing anything else school related.I don't know if I'm looking for advice or what. Is this normal for the first few weeks of kindergarten? He's a smart kid, he can practically read easy books and has no problems writing basic sentences already. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2eYIIBr
