Looking for activities to do with my kids to help foster a sense of family citizenship and team building.

Corny, right? My kids, ages 8 and 6, have been clashing a lot over the past couple years. They're sarcastic and snarky with each other at best, downright rude and shitty to each other at worst. Additionally, they don't yet understand that in order for our family to function at its best, they need to contribute. Their help and cooperation and nice attitudes makes a big difference. I know they're young, but I feel like it's best to start subtly imparting these ideas while they're little. Some background: it's me, and son and daughter, and my husband in the house. We are all very close and love spending time together. We mostly love hanging out at home and spend lots of time watching shows and movies together, enjoy games but sometimes competition doesn't end well (hence looking for ways to work together, not against each other). Daughter (6) has sensory and behavioral issues that we're working on, but it's been really tough recently. We could all use some fun and positivity around here-- it's been a rough year or two. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2C9oeEf
