8-yr-old stepson wants to be "the guy in the army that shoots people from helicopters." where does this fall on a scale of "normal" to "wtf"?

History: he has PTSD and DSED (formerly Reactive Attachment Disorder before new DSM) and a history of being violent. We don't let him play games where he shoots people but he has played them at other peoples' homes. He has been discussing this for more than a month, infrequently but it comes up whenever we talk about careers and such. I don't really know what to say other than "You'll have to talk to dad about that when you are older" (husband is a purple heart veteran).Worrisome, or does this fall on the typical scale? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2ovn6kJ
