How do you manage social media and your teenagers?

We recently allowed our 14 year old to use social media accounts. He has a Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram. It's a good way for him to keep in touch with his friends since he can't always be near them and he is extroverted. He is handling his responsibilities well. He is doing soccer and has good grades in his classes. We told him as long as he keeps that up then he can keep his social media accounts. We still check up on him. He went through a long phase of being obsessed with his Snapchat streak so we took away Snapchat for a while. He has it back now though. He has been following some questionable Twitter pages though. We talked about it and he unfollowed them. I feel like we might be overdoing it but he is on the immature side of things and I think he needs more guidance right now.
