American Girl's Puberty Book 1: I am looking for straight-forward basics with no peer body questions yet...

Hello lovely parents! 31 year old mama of an 8 year old here.I have read here and elsewhere that the American Girl "The Care and Keeping of You" series is an excellent choice for parents reading with girls about puberty (per age/ stage). Well, many reviews say that even the 1st one for ages 7+ address body image issues.Of course we should address body image issues! However, my newly 8 year old has always been particularly innocent and is in a small school where she has never mentioned disliking something about herself. I know that is hard to believe, but it is true right now.Discussing body image is excellent. It has to start young. But per actual reviews and my own experience with my daughter, I am worried that the "I hate my pimples, my freckles," "I wonder why I am the girl who is flat-chested and picked on," etc... I think that would actually be confusing to her right now.I could hold off on buying a puberty book, but I can't. She is clearly going to be an early-bloomer. I really wanted to get her the American Girl 1 book, but I am wondering now if there is something else for little girls that is more matter-of-fact without the self-confidence and peer pressure thoughts at this age? Please help on this? Unfortunately, I have no female role models in my life who can help or suggest.TLDR; Any beginning puberty books for young girls that discuss groundwork but no self-image difficulties yet at this age?EDIT: Thanks to a few commenters so far! But why am I getting downvoted? My daughter is simply extremely innocent for her age, so I do not want to introduce some concepts that she hasn't even thought of and cause insecurity! I do not have a mother or grandmother, thank you. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2znavXe
