My son has just started Reception at school and has been struggling with the idea of having to do some homework (to be fair I disagree with it at his age but moving on from that) and has been a real pain tonight with it.Anyway at one point is just had enough of him and walked away as he’d got me to the point of genuinely being ready to lose it. We took a break and I went to look for a small desk for his bedroom for somewhere to focus to make it a better learning environment. Naturally he tried to clamber up on my lap to look at the Ikea website and I told him to ‘hold your horses’ to which he told me he couldn’t, I of course asked him why.The response was brilliant.“I can’t.
