My son is entering Junior High and is beginning to experience rejection from lifelong friends. It is heartbreaking to watch. One issue is that he is a bit younger and less mature than a lot of the boys he's been friends with. A maturity gap and lack of self-control is starting to show. The thing I see most to explain what's going on is that my son doesn't know when to stop and ends up annoying or angering the other boys. My son now sees his close friends starting to pull away and he is devastated. I tried to talk to him about the annoyances, to be more self aware, and it backfired into him crying that no one likes him. I feel terrible. His self-esteem is on the rocks already and I think I made it worse. What do I do?? Any words of wisdom?? This sucks. Thank you. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2I2915T
