Dad and Mom can't get on same page on 18 month old supervision

Hi everyone - Dad and mom have an 18 month old boy. Dad is on the overprotective side mom is complete opposite. As a result both parents are completely stressed.I'm the overprotective one. Wanted to try to get some idea of how overprotective I am.Some examples:Dad is besides himself when he sees son's Aunt let son mill around and drift into a soccer/football game being played by bigger children/teens.Dad is stressed when mom and other family members let 18 month old play with small objects which toddler usual ends up putting in his mouth.Dad is stressed when 18 month old is occasionally not directly looked after. That is, the child may be left unattended for a minute or two without visual supervision. This happens outside of the home, say for example in a coffee shop. These are some examples, am I overreacting, overprotective, etc?I'll also add that Dad is Canadian and Mom is Asian. So we have vast cultural differences. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2lmOIHq
