My son has started hearing voices that aren't there.

My son has been uncharacteristically quiet over the last few weeks. We have a pretty open relationship with good discourse so I've discussed why a fair bit. He said he thinks it's because some of the other kids are excluding him. I've spoken to his teacher who is keeping an eye on things.Today he came to me and asked for a quiet word. I of course obliged and we went up to his room. He told me that when he's alone he hears several different voices shouting his name. He said he's finding this very confusing because he knows they are not there. I asked whether they say anything else and he said "No, they just shout my name and get angrier when I ignore them".I asked why he ignored them and he said "because they're not real". I told him not to worry and that it is perfectly normal. If they start again just come and get me.He's 6 years old, how concerned should I be and do I need to take him to see someone? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2xVQPpq
