This is for parents of kids with music lessins, or people who olayed instruments as kids - any tips on how to helo our kid get into good practice habits, and reasonably enjoy practicing?She is 8 yrs old, just started the instrument, loves it. She has happily gone to practice most days for the past 3 weeks but she doesnt actually practice what was assigned. She wants to mess around and pretend to be a virtuoso, which i totally get is fun, but she does need to work on the assigned basic exercises. Last week she wasnt prepared for class and she felt pretty low about that.If i stay with her and guide her, shell do the exercises, but i hope she can become a little more independent in practicing.
