Walking to School

My DD just started Kindergarten, and we are unfortunately inside the "bus bubble". We only have one car, so walking to school is becoming our typical routine. We've been lucky with the weather lately, but I live in a region that typically sees a rainy autumn and cold, snowy winters. Are there any other walkers out there with tips or tricks to make this less miserable? I know that umbrellas and coats exist, and I plan on using them. We hook up with a friend from her class about half way to school, which helps. Any advice on staying warm & dry and not complaining the entire walk would be greatly appreciated! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2wmrtVF
