When my 8 month old is eating I'll usually pull his high chair towards me so that we're facing each other and we can have a chat. In the last couple of weeks there'll come a point during every meal that he'll hold his food out with a big grin on his face, wait for me to lean in and take a bite, then he'll take a bite for himself. Often we repeat this for the rest of the meal. He seems to know when I fake taking a bite, so I'm stuck taking real ones.A few years ago when I was getting drunk and flirting with girls in bars, or smoking weed at 3am with friends, I never would have believed that one of my biggest joys would be munching on saliva soaked pieces of broccoli, but I love seeing him so happy, so here we are.
