My son - who is almost 2 - has hypotonia, and was born with a club foot. He is on the verge of walking, but is mostly still crawling. We get comments everywhere we go about him not walking. People say he's a lazy baby. Just yesterday, a lady asked me, with a look of pity on her face, "Will you boy ever walk?" This was the first time she had engaged me in conversation. When I said, "Yes, he has his own schedule", she asked me how old he was, and shook her head like she felt sorry for us. Um, what?! This happens on the regular, and I don't know what to say or do. It's so draining, and I don't want it to affect my older son. I just give them as little info as I can, but really want to punch them in the face. What would you do? Others have told me to use it as an opportunity to educate them, but I don't feel like I should have to explain my son's medical history with them. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2x5RGX6
