My sons whole life he's seen this dentist. Every time we're told he's doing great, no cavities! We even paid extra for 3 month intermediate fluoride treatments.Today he has 3 cavities. The dentist has been watching them for a while now and has completely neglected to tell us of these weak spots. Now the dentist wants to charge $500 for non instance covered work to fix them. That includes laughing gas and white fillings which our insurance doesn't cover. He won't do the work the way our insurance does cover.We've been adamant about cleaning, and I know cavities happen. My personal great dentist will warn me of weak areas that I need to watch out for. My son's dentist is with us less than 1 minute for the exams never mentioned these to us and now it's not just the expense but the poor kid now has to endure preventable dental pain because this guy neglected to tell us anything. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2vzLVSl
