How do you instill "grit" into children, so they accept, adapt and overcome to adversity with a minimum of drama.

So I'm working on multiplication tables with one of my kiddos. She's struggling with 7s & 9s, so they're in the rotation more often. She knows how to figure out the answers she struggling with, but throws up a wall of drama for 10-20 minutes. It's to the point where I say we're working on multiplication, can we skip the drama, and just get on with it.I swear, if there was a summer boot camp I could send her to, I would.ETA.
