Since turning 4 last month, my son has been experiencing a lot of big emotions. He has been very hotheaded and quick to get angry when something doesn't go his way. These outbursts are combined with physical aggression towards me (his mom) and no one else. He has been frequently spitting on me, biting me, kicking me, punching me, and destroying things around the house by throwing them or ripping them up. His dad and I have been divorced for three years and my son sees him weekends and one night per week. His dad says he never behaves this way at his house and is "shocked". I am finding myself unable to stay calm to handle these constant outbursts and am at my wits end. He has also started biting himself all over his arms. I feel like my child hates me and wants nothing to do with me. What do I do?TLDR: 4 yo is very physically aggressive towards me and I can't handle it anymore.
