Bus driver changes pickup spot, no call, busy road

We live at the end of a road on a culdesac, our driveway is a shared driveway that connects to the culdesac. There's actually only one house on the culdesac. The one house on the culdesac has a driveway in the front of the house as well as a driveway on the culdesac and they keep parking at least one, sometimes two vehicles on the culdesac. My next door neighbor that has a shared driveway also usually parks one of their vehicles on the culdesac, but he actually parks so that his vehicle is just off the asphalt and onto the grass. None of his tires are touching the asphalt. The other neighbor that actually lives on the culdesac does not make any attempt to get his truck off the road.Our child is in kindergarten.The bus drive last week was backing up and hit my next door neighbors truck last week. Now this morning my wife is watching/waiting for the bus to pick up our child (he walks to the end of our shared driveway and stands at the edge of the culdesac). By the way, my wife is 8 months pregnant and very emotional (reasonably so). The bus doesn't come and doesn't come, then we get a text from friends/neighbors of ours that are about 7 or 8 houses up the road that the bus isn't come down the road today, he's only picking up at the end of the road. Our road is a dead end that connects to the main road, but it's at least 1/2 a mile, maybe 3/4 of a mile. My wife called me completely distraught, because nobody from the school/bus co let us know, and because she had to wake our youngest up and throw them all in the car, when she got to the end of the road and was getting ready to take my son to school the bus came by again, the bus driver stopped and waived my wife out of the car. She yelled at him and he said he couldn't help it the bus company doesn't want him to come down there any more because there is a truck in the way.1) They never even called us and said that they wouldn't be coming to pick our son up today.2) How is any of this our fault? We don't park on the culdesac, we're not doing anything wrong, we just want our child picked up at a reasonable spot. Shouldn't the bus company call the police if anything illegal is being done, or ask for a sign to be put up that there's no parking on the culdesac at certain times? My next door neighbors truck that was hit was completely in the grass though. I told the bus driver that he can back into our driveway and he has done so every morning to my knowledge.3) There's another school close by that's slightly better than the one we're sending our child to, we made this decision because the better school does not pick up in our area. The effort that it takes to pack up the children and drive the 1/2 to 3/4 mile doesn't make sense, if they're already packed up they would just drive my oldest to the better kindergarten that's 6 minutes away.What's the best way to handle this? Is my wife expected to leave our two younger children in the house in the morning while she drives to the end of the road, or to wake a newborn and 3 year old up every morning and put them in the car? Also, the spot that the bus driver wants the kids to line up at is very busy, who is going to be responsible if a child is hit by a car there? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2vSH916
