Hey r/parenting community! I have a dilemma that my wife and I are having an issue with.I have an opportunity to work overseas for a year. The wife and I have been discussing it and both feel as if it would be best if I took the job, thinking long term. In the short term, however, my son starts kindergarten in August.Neither of us are sure how to explain that daddy will be going to the other side of the world for work, and for the betterment financially for us. I love my son, and I don't want him to feel like I'm abandoning him.Have any of you had to deal with this? And how did you accomplish/ease the travel, time and schedule issues?
