My 4 Year old son watches girl cartoons from time to time. Wife is worried, I'm not.

So my son watches some shows for girls like Shimmer and Shine and shows like that. He doesn't go looking for the shows but if it's on TV and peaks his interest then he watches. My wife became worried because the other day I was at work and he saw a cartoon of wonder women and asked my wife can she buy him a costume of wonder women but not to tell me. He said she had to pinky promise not to tell me. I found that awkward because I don't get upset when he watches anything a little girl might like. He's into race cars, soldier toys and the usual boy stuff. I found it to be odd that at 4 years old he was self conscious and did not want his dad to know. Nonetheless it was no big deal to me. I decided not to address it to him because I didn't want him to feel betrayed by his mom. She was pretty annoyed and upset with it and I told her she's over reacting at that young age girls and boys are interested in everything.Does anyone have any input on this or had this happen before and should I talk to him about it? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2plw9Uk
