My 3.5 yr old throws tantrums unlike I have ever seen on days when he goes to preschool and I don't know if this is normal.

So, as the title says, my 3 yr old son freaks out whenever it is a day he has to go to preschool. His preschool is at a church down the street and came highly recommended. He goes 2 days a week for 2 hours each day and believe me those 4 hours a week do not come cheap. The facilities are really nice state of the art beautiful facilities (way too nice for a church but thats not for this thread). It has many good reviews and recommendations on local parenting forums and also word of mouth. Trying to illustrate that this is a nice place that costs a pretty penny to send him there, its not in some run down church basement, and it is a well received place (Currently a long wait list to even get in). It is his first taste of school as we did not send him to daycare. He has been going for a few months now and the last few months he has been expressing his dread during our "getting ready" time and the way he has been expressing it has been getting exponentially worse. Today he ran from my wife and refused to get dressed and cried and screamed unlike i've ever heard. We even tried facetime while I was at work to try to get him to calm down but to no avail. I was trying to ask him why he dislikes school so much but couldn't even get him to talk to me because he just kept running away and was screaming. His class has two teachers, male/female. I've met them both and they seem okay to me. Is this normal? Should I be concerned? I gotta tell you, I feel guilty as hell sending him there when he hates it this much, but, what about when he goes to kindergarten? And how can I reward his tantrum by giving him what he wants? But what if something is going on there and his fear is a valid one? I just don't know what is normal and I don't know what to do- its a lose/lose situation. Any advice for some concerned parents? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2pL1mmY
