How to stop 15m old from biting

I've googled as many variations of the title as I can think, and I've tried all the advice I've round so far, and still it hasn't made an impact. It started when he was around a year or so, and was mostly only when he'd nurse, so I'd unlatch and put him on the floor. Sometimes he'd be upset, other times no reaction at all, he'd just go on and play. Then I tried shouting "ouch" to show him it hurt and possibly scare him into stopping. A few times it would startle him and he'd cry, other times just laugh. Then it spread to him biting in general, not just nursing. So far it's just me and my husband, but today he bit the dog (who thankfully didn't react, but this is my biggest fear!) and I just don't know what to do anymore. We've weaned from nursing, but he still randomly bites all the time. It's not an anger thing, or a reaction to anything... he just does it. I've tried ignoring it, I've tried exclaiming pain, I've tried "time out's" (as much as one can at this age), and recently in a desperate attempt to get him to stop, I even tried biting back... None of this has made any impact. Please tell me someone here has another option!? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2pGzJZU
