Our nephew's 1st birthday is coming up and we want to get him something fun and helpful in his development. He is delayed quite a bit, and his parents are pretty sensitive about it, so we don't want to hurt their feelings by getting him something too "baby toy-ish" for him or something that is too far beyond his abilities, either. We are wondering if there are some good toys that encourage crawling or general mobility? This spinning alphabet wheel is his current favorite toy, it really gets him excited. Or maybe toys that encourage tracking or help babies practice hand motions? He is more like a 6-month old as far as his abilities, and I know he spends a lot of time in therapy working on grasping and putting things in specific places. We would get him clothes but he has an older brother and thus a huge wardrobe already. We'd like to get him something special, it's been a hard year for his parents and I want to get him something he will like (he does love toys although maybe there's something else out there we haven't considered). via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2n3N4fg
