Did I snap at my friend's daughter?

I was babysitting my best friend's 11 year old daughter last night. I've watched her before and she's usually fine but last night she was in rare form. Nothing major, but by bed time she was getting up over and over and just kept slinking back in to watch TV, and after the 4th time in an hour I said, "I'm not gonna ask you again. Go to bed."Well, her parents come home and I leave. Next morning, her mom is calling me and saying I had better not ever snap at her daughter like that again, that she thought I meant the next step was spanking her (I don't know where this came from. They don't spank her and I never have.), that she was crying over it. I said that's not what I meant and explained what had happened, but she's still pretty testy with me.So...should I apologize?
