Can't be mad at this kid.

My daughter is 6 years old and in kindergarten and there's a boy named Owen who sits across from her and absolutely adores my daughter. We've heard stories from teachers about them holding hands in line and about how cute they were/are and when I pick her up on days that I'm off to walk home from school, Owen always has to run and give Avrie a hug before they leave school. His mother told me that he usually doesn't hug people and isn't a touchy person. Needless to say it's cute. I overhead them discussing what each other's houses look like so they could find each other's house and hang out. Another day Owen told her that she had nothing to worry about and he would protect her. Flipping adorable right. The other night my daughter was talking about how Owen says he's her boyfriend. My wife told her that it's okay if she doesn't want Owen to tell people that or be her boyfriend and that she can tell him that her mom said she's to little to have a boyfriend right now but they definitely can be best friends and she can introduce him as 'my best friend Owen'. She asked if she ever said anything like that to him to which my daughter responded "he'd cry". Taken a little off guard by her response my wife asked if he cried in class before and she said "yea when he had to move his seat in class." My wife a little confused asked "why was he crying because he had to move his seat?". "Because he wanted to be next to me." my daughter replied as me and my wife just looked at each other with the biggest "awwwww" face. I tell ya what, Owen's alright in my book. Was just too cute of a story and had to share. Thanks for reading. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2mGqwyK
