too scared to cut my 6 month old nails.

I've accidently pricked him twice while trying to cut his nails and both times the bleeding just would not stop. I still feel terrible for both of those instances and I hated hearing his scream ):I've tried cutting his nails in his sleep but he does not like to be messed with. He'll wake up if I try to touch or adjust him. Were breastfeeding so he'll just grab my boobs whenever he's hungry. NBD except for the fact that his nails are always freaking cutting me.He won't scratch or hurt himself at all,but I have scratch marks all over me. Is there a better kind of nail clipper or anything you guys can recommend to me? I'm so tired of being a scratch board )):Edit: my son just turned 7 months,not six. Sorry.
