Teenager caught in the act

Throwaway because I don't want this attached to my main.My oldest son is 13, going on 14. We have security cameras in and around the house. I went to check on them this morning to see if my husband had gotten to work on time (he had to take the little one to daycare) and there he was - sitting in the middle of the living room on his game chair, pants around his ankles going at it. I had a full WTF moment sitting at work. I realize he's at that age and while the mom in me still wants to deny that, logically I know it happens. (I was just hoping he hadn't gotten there yet). My instinct is to just try to forget that it happened and move on with life. I don't want to embarrass him because I know it's completely natural. However, should I say something? Not to tell him never to do it - but to maybe stay in the privacy of the bathroom? He shares a room with his younger brothers, so that might not be feasible to tell him to keep it in there. But is it worth the embarrassment to him (and tbh myself) to just tell him to not do it in the living room. Although, I mean, he was home by himself before school. Should I tell my husband and pawn it off on him? How have you guys handled this delicate situation? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2bRPkje
