Hey! I posted earlier on r/relationships about potentially becoming a legal guardian for a 5 year old girl from a very close family friend. The post is here.I'll keep the story here short. Their mother is a close family friend who I call my Aunt. She's an awful mother, emotionally abusive, mean, and overall absent from her children's lives. The father is no longer alive. I care for her daughter "Ella" about 3-4 days a week. She's moving in with a new boyfriend which will take her and Ella an hour away from where I am. She came to me and suggested that I become the legal guardian of Ella. I am technically capable of taking care of her, but I'm still worried. It really is a lot.So I'm using to taking care of Ella, but I've never really had to take care of her all the time and be absolutely responsible for her. From experienced parents, how will this change my life? Any and all advice or thoughts you have would help so much! via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2bg5uDM
