Help me, I'm becoming a jerk to 7yo daughter.

We live in a community where 90% of the kids are above average and kids "spectacular" starting at 5yo.My daughter is wonderful. She is full vigor, sprite, and curiosity. Yet, she is falling behind academically...I know, I know...2nd grade! But yet, I am saying hurtful things like "You can't be lazy. You have to get to the same level as your friends. blah, blah blah."How do I become a father that is patient, non-judgemental, and supportive? Books, podcasts, forums, blogs? Please point me in the right direction because I want to be the right dad for her.Thanks. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2bAcw8o
