Grandmother watching our 8 month old, and it's causing some tension.

My wife's grandmother watched our 6 year old son until he went to elementary school. We have an 8 month old now and she's watching her now.My wife is concerned that she doesn't interact with her and will just fall asleep throughout the day, doing nothing with her.I'm trying to understand the 'normal' activities that my daughter should be doing.We have a floor she can go on, an exersaucer, a jumper.. but what else should we be doing?I don't mind 'self play' and having our daughter not be held, but how often should she hold her? How often should my GIL be interacting?We have a camera, so my wife is constantly watching because her grandmother has had health issues in the past.
