Hi,I posted a month or two ago about getting my son evaluated by a neuropsychologist because of some flags we were dealing with (emotional outbursts, hyperactivity, repeating phrases, aggression, bullying, hitting, pushing, constantly touching etc..read the other post if you care) and got his results back yesterday.I'm wondering if anyone has children with the same sort of results that I can talk to?Basically she gave him an ADHD combined type diagnosis but says she believes that's not the entire picture, that will just get him the help he needs (not medication, behavioral help and an IEP at preschool). He has a very high verbal acquisition IQ, 93rd percentile but a average (63rd) Full Scale IQ. His working memory is only 25th. She thinks that basically he has visual processing issues, and is experiencing a lot of anger and frustration because he can't visually (in his mind) develop the images that coincide with what he verbally understands. He also can't direct play socially or misses cues because he sees what he's doing, but not really taking in the full picture of what others are doing around him (body language etc). She said if he was older (he's almost 4) she would be looking at a Non Verbal Learning Delay, and to follow up in a year to test for that.Coupled with that he has definite sensory seeking behaviors (the hitting pushing hyperactivity etc) that belong to Sensory Processing Disorder. She's recommending OT for sensory integration, visual therapy for the above mentioned and family therapy for behavior.Everything she says makes total sense to me in explaining what I see out of his behavior, and really made some things click for me. I'm going to be making life more visual for him with schedules and charts and tasks etc and was just wondering if there's other parents with these results/challenges and if they could share some experiences on what's worked for them and what their life is like. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2bcl6uH
