I was at my kid's swim lessons tonight and heard a little voice whisper "help." It was a little boy, around 8, with his head bobbing up and down. Not wanting to look like a paranoid dumbass, I made eye contact and asked if he needed help. He nodded. Luckily I only had to lay down and reach out, not jump in, to pull him out.Just a reminder that drowning is silent and it can happen with the kid barely out of reach of the edge.
