My daughter is almost ten. It’s always been just the two of us. Following through on punishment has always been very hard for me. Recently, I got so embarrassed by her behavior that I decided I had to stick to my guns and stop giving in to begging when I’ve clearly stated no to her. I am listening to her tantrum in the other room because I grounded her for swearing and not doing what i asked her to do (pick up her stuff, clean up her dishes). She says it is my fault because I’m never nice. I never give her what she wants. She says I’m nicer to her friends than I am to her. I feel so helpless. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/32KGRrN
