What do you do if you disagree with your partners disciplining choice?

Context: Our 3 year old daughter had been sick and stuck inside for 5 days. 3 days ago she threw a tantrum (something little didn’t go her way, this combined with sick and tired did not go well). She ended up throwing a toy and breaking it.My wife at the end of her fuse decided to teach Miss 3 a lesson by locking away 95% of our daughters toys and said she couldn’t have them back for a month. While I normally back up my wife’s discipline choices this was out of the ordinary (usually its timeouts , no t.v / computer for the night etc). I disagreed with my wife in this ( mainly the timeframe I felt a month is too long for a 3 year old) but she wouldn’t budge. I didn’t push it further because Miss 3 was watching. How do others sort out these parenting disagreements especially if a punishment is still ongoing?Little bit added: I’m the one who has been staying home from work to look after Miss 3 so it is now my responsibility to enforce. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Ianz5M
