Help! My 2-year old son is VIOLENT!

So, my 2-year old son has recently started the "phase" where he throws EVERYTHING, hits/slaps when he doesn't get his way and throws himself onto the floor violently (like jumping from furniture in a fit of rage.) He stomps on his sister's head if she's on the floor, pulls hair...I think you get where I'm coming from. Is this just a little boy thing? My two daughters NEVER did that to this degree. I've read over and over on how to "handle" this type of expected behavior for this age group, but it's not working. Being stuck at home isn't helping any. I am to the point where I want to slap him back when it happens and that's obviously not good. We love him dearly and he is the sweetest little boy. I just don't understand what's happening over the past couple of months. The entire family has resorted to screaming at him when he throws things into their face or rips their hair out or hits them. It hurts horribly and it's not expected so you can't block it or protect yourself. He caused a nosebleed in our oldest daughter when he whacked her unexpectedly in the face with her own iPad. He just threw something at our brand new 65-inch TV (that was a GIFT!) and now the screen is broken. PLEASE HELP ME! I can't seem to get a grip on him and I am at my wit's end. Any suggestions will be helpful! I feel like I'm out of constructive/effective ways to handle this. There has to be a better way and I just don't know about it. Thank you! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Ugab6R
