I have a 5 year old son that needs someone to constantly be playing with him. Occasionally he will watch something in the TV or his tablet by himself but it's rare. I have a 1 year old that is completely the opposite. I'm looking for suggestions on how to get him to be better at doing things by himself. It's hard for me to get anything done with him constantly asking to play and whining when I say no. It also makes me feel bad because he makes it seem like I never do anything with him.
