Quoting a friend of mine who says that whenever you’re telling her bye. It’s her in-person sign off and sticks with me all the time.On my way home today I received a phone call from my aunt who was at my house with my wife who said, “Get home as fast as you can, your son just had another episode.”Eight months ago we witnessed his first febrile seizure. The scariest day of my life. All was well after a trip to the ER and a declined temperature. Having researched it a bit and talked with our doctors, we knew what we could and couldn’t do should the situation arise again. Today was that day. And even though I knew (hoped/prayed) it would be okay, my mind went to the end of the spectrum wondering when was the last hug and kiss I got from him. What was the last thing he said/I said. He’s only 2 and I tuck him in bed every other nights, but I remember those things clear as day.All is well, and he’s sound asleep in our bed (for the next unforeseeable nights), but in case any parents out there in the Redditsphere don’t hear this ever or not enough —Hug those babies! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/34oGWlv
