My daughter (7F) learned to apologize

Last night my daughter got very upset over being told to get ready for bed (she wanted to keep playing), and told me, within earshot of my husband, that she wants a different Daddy. My husband decided to be a petty %*#¥#6 that very moment and declared that he wished that he too had a different daughter. I told both of them to stop saying hurtful comments to each other.Thirty minutes later, before she went to bed, my daughter went to the kitchen to talk to my husband. She said “I’m sorry for saying that I want a different daddy. I was just so angry and frustrated. I will not say that again. Now, it’s YOUR turn to apologize for the hurtful things YOU said.”I hope she grows up to be stronger and kinder than I will ever be. via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2IuJZ3Y
