10 year old looking at inappropriate websites

I’ll try to keep this PG so the mods are happy, but my 10 year old son has been looking at some very inappropriate pictures and websites on his iPad. Not the run of the mill stuff here. We talked about it and I told him it’s perfectly normal to be curious about sex and explore his body. But I still want to put restrictions on his iPad so he can’t look at adult websites anymore.Maybe I’m over thinking this, but I feel like I’m getting conflicting advice/research. On the one hand kids should not be shamed for their sexual curiosity and masturbation is normal and okay. On the other hand, kids should not be allowed on adult websites.
