My daughter is 8. She does this thing, where, if someone uses grammar wrong, she will laugh at them. It's partly my fault because I'm an English teacher and I'm always correcting her grammar (How MANY steps, not how MUCH steps.) But I never do it in a way, like, that I'm making fun of her. Example, her girl scout leader said "I buyed that" instead of "I bought that" so my daughter started laughing "haha, buyed??" (I know she sounds like a troll). She's done it before and it's led to other kids resenting her and being mean back to her. Any suggestions on how to explain to her she needs to stop? Anytime I come down on her for things like this, she internalizes it and starts saying "I'm the worst person in the world" and "no one loves me" So, I'm trying not to be too hard on her, but this is something that she's continued to do despite being corrected on many times. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PRIFHR
