Hi,Soon I am a father to be, and I did some thinking about how ensure that my baby will have the best conditions for learning new languages. I believe myself that being multilingual is a huge benefit. Together with my wife we combined speak 5 languages; English, Chinese, German, Thai & Danish. Now 5 languages could be a lot for a little child at once. That is why I have divided it. I aim to start with 1 parent 1 language. The different grandparents also speak only one language each. As a result, I will have designated people to talk 4 languages to the child. I would imaging I would include the last language 1 or 2 years later as a special weekend language. I would love to hear your experience with multilingual children, what works what not, and if my approach makes any sense?Cheers. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PPaeBO
