Is it OK to name my baby similar to my sibling who has passed away?

My wife and I are expecting a baby girl, and my wife's favorite name for her is Emma.I like that name, too; however:I had a sister whose name was Emily, who died when she was less than a year old (I was 5 yrs old at the time). I am not sure what she died of - it may have been SIDS.A part of me feels that the names "Emma" and "Emily" are close and Emily didn't have a good life so it could be bad luck.Another part of me feels that the names are close, but we could think of this as naming Emma in honor of Emily. My wife thinks the names are different, since they have different origins. What do redditors think? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2xrD5oY
