9 Year Old Wants to Watch Rick and Morty

So, my 9 year old son wants to watch Rick & Morty.I've seen a few episodes of the show and I'm not cool with it. My husband has also seen a few episodes of the show and thinks it's fine as long as a parent watches with him. My argument is that the show moves quickly - the joke is already out there before you realize you need to shut it off, you know?I grew up with parents who didn't care or monitor what I watched in any way, and I saw lots of inappropriate stuff. It did not scar me for life, I don't think. But I did not also have the internet funneling me into a whole culture around my inappropriate viewing. I also feel like media is just, on the whole, edgier now. But maybe I'm overreacting.My 9 year old is not particularly mature, but he did handle Futurama okay.
