My kids' father is moving into another apartment with a buddy of his. Wants co-parenting time to be the same.

My ex moved out of his previous apartment (I don't know if he couldn't afford it or because the memories of his dead dog were too overwhelming - he's never honest with me. Ever.). He's moving into a 2-bedroom apartment with a buddy. Two of our children will sleep in one bedroom, the third child will sleep with dad in the LR.The ex didn't even tell me he was doing this. The kids told me yesterday! I've never met this guy he's moving in with.I want to let my ex know that I need to meet this guy; that this guy is not to lay a hand on my kids in any way; that he's not to yell at them or "parent" them in any way. That ex isn't to use this friend as a babysitter for even so much as a grocery run. I don't know him from Adam.Am I being overly protective?
