Miscarriage advice please

My wife went in for a routine checkup, middle of 14th week, today. No fucking heartbeat. Ultrasound showed no bloodflow. Doctor confirmed that we lost the baby.Doctor suggested 3 options for management. Expectant, medical, or d and c (d and c being the safest for us with how far along we are). We went home to think about it and chose to do the pill. We called the doctor back and instead of prescribing the pill right then, the doc said she consulted with another doctor and doubled down on her suggestion for surgery. Took any amount of confidence we had in our decision away.We just don't know. Fuck. There are a few reasons we have for not wanting to do surgery. And though it is a personal decision, if any of you could give us input, about your experiences or medical advice it would help us out. There are probably things we aren't seeing, or don't know, that you could shed some light on. Relevant info - This is our fourth. Never had a miscarriage. Wife is mid thirties.I'm sorry if this brings any bad memories to you, but we are kinda lost here and I'd appreciate your help. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2hllaam
