So I have a mild case of cerebral palsy. I'm ambulatory, but tremble constantly, and have poor gross motor coordination and awful balance. Most people don't realize anything is wrong with me, but that's mostly because by 40 I've learned to avoid doing things that demonstrate that something's awry. That includes riding a bike. When riding a bicycle, I'm told a normal human can somehow "sense" when they are falling and I guess lean or something to counteract this. For me, I realize I'm falling when I see the ground on one side moving toward me. After about 10 years of practice I was able to ride unsteady by age 16, but with near constant injuries and few broken bones.Anyone else here that is themselves unable to ride a bike successfully teach their children to ride? This has been a struggle for me these last few months, and I really feel like I'm failing my 7 year old. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2xbAXjU
